Title IX & Nondiscrimination
Mission and Purpose
Colorado College is committed to creating an environment that is safe and conducive to learning, living, and working. This includes fostering a community free from discrimination and harassment through both a focus on education and prevention and through fair and effective implementation of policies that prohibit discrimination and harassment. This work includes conducting investigations and adjudications of, or otherwise resolving, complaints of discrimination or harassment on the basis of any characteristic protected by institutional policy or state, local, or federal law. The College encourages all members of our community to participate in the process of creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful campus culture.
The Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and Procedures, in combination with the Title IX Sexual Harassment Grievance Procedures, outline the protections against harassment and misconduct that all members of our community may expect, regardless of demographic or personal characteristics or identity. The policy and procedures also list resources that individuals who experience prohibited conduct may access as well as the procedural recourses available to them in addressing behaviors that are prohibited.
These Policies and Procedures are overseen by Title IX Coordinator Tashana Taylor and Deputy Title IX Coordinator Joshua Isringhausen.
